So this week in the forum the members discussed the most recent episode of The Big Bang Theory entitled " The Closet Reconfiguration (March 14)." The posts in this weeks forum were in depth and the serious. The episode last week dealt with Howard finding a note from his father and not wanting to read it. Sheldon, while organizing Howard's closet, comes across the letter and reads it. He later tells the others about it and the others want to tell Howard, who does not want to know what the letter said. So in the end the gang comes up with a plan to tell Howard what the letter said, without telling him what it said. The episode was more endearing and serious then it was funny, and the members of the community did not like the idea. Actually, the community was split down the middle, with half really enjoying the episode, and the other half finding it annoying.

This is the first time that I have actually seen members of the community becoming increasingly negative with one another and negatively reacting to each others post, even at one point calling out each other. For example one member wrote to the other ,"whatever. It still was a sucky comment.
I think most of your comments are sucky as well. Sucks for you to be a rude person on a fandom board."

The discussion became intense a certain points and the fans are engulfed with the show.  I am a bit intimidated to join the conversation.

This week in the forum the topic of discussion was whether or not Raj was liked enough character to enter into a relationship. The entire season Raj has been complaining about being lonely and wanting to be in a relationship. Members of the forum gave varying opinions throughout the forum and agreed and disagreed with one another. So far no one in the forum has been rude or negative with one another. The participants have  disagreed with each other in an amicable way. For example, one member mentioned how she like the idea of Raj being in a relationship to make him a better person. Another member constructively disagreed with her and stated his reasoning behind it.

Hello

So this whole blog thing is all new to me. I am not someone who would even think about starting a blog or even being apart of a blog community.  This should be an interesting journey to say the least.

A little bit about myself.. well I am a high school special ed. science teacher. I have been teaching now for 10 years. I started out as a teaching assistant in a non-public school servicing emotionally disturbed students. Then the teacher that I worked for moved on and I took over the class and picked up the teaching bug. I have been teaching ever since.  I absolutely love what I do. I love my students and I love the art of teaching. The "extra" things sometimes makes it stressful. I am married with one child, a seven year old son. I take care of my mother who suffered a brain tumor a year and a half ago, and my younger sister. I love my family.

Like I mentioned before, I am new to blogging. I decided to join the Big Bang Theory community. Its a forum that discusses different aspects of the show. I really like this show, I don't watch television often, but this is one show I really enjoy. I am not sure if it will be the correct forum to discuss cyber citizenship so I may have to join another community later. We will see what happens. Wish me luck, and happy blogging.
